Oregon
Oregon it’s a place where pioneers and a new generation of winemakers, together, rhapsodize about the fruits and land. Oregon land. A land, whose rich geological legacy and varied climates nurture a wine country where cool-climate and warm-climate varieties grow mere miles from one another. With Oregon’s varying geo-climates it’s possible to successfully grow dozens of grapes varieties.  Of the 72 grape varieties planted throughout the state, winemakers have particular focus on 15 of them and Pinot Noir is the most popular varietal produced in Oregon.

Oregon is a magical place whose borders encompass 362 miles of rugged coastline, white-peaked mountains, deep river canyons and endless amounts of green right alongside high-desert prairies and volcanic rock formations.

The Willamette Valley is 150 miles long and up to 60 miles wide making it Oregon’s largest AVA. It runs from the Columbia River in Portland south through Salem to the Calapooya Mountains outside Eugene. Named for the river that flows through it, the Willamette Valley has the largest concentration of wineries and vineyards in Oregon and includes six sub-appellations: Dundee Hills, Eola-Amity Hills, McMinnville, Ribbon Ridge, Yamhill-Carlton District and the recently approved Chehalem Mountains.
