Arietta Wine Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Arietta Cabernet Sauvignon made its debut in the 2003 vintage. The core of the wine is Cabernet Sauvignon farmed on Howell Mountain by renowned Napa vineyard manager David Abreu. The meticulous practices employed by Abreu assure perfectly ripe fruit, and the particular site, soil, and exposure to sun produce a sensationally seductive and expressive wine. Wine Advocate The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon (the same blend as the 2004) offers a note of crushed rocks intermixed with plum, animal fat, black currant, cherry, incense, Chinese black tea, and toasty oak. It is elegant, medium-bodied, and refreshing, with a Bordeaux-like austerity in the finish. This wine needs 2-4 years of bottle age and should drink well for 15 or more. Score range: 89-92. Score: 92. —Robert Parker, December 2006. |
