Pinot Noir
Light to dark ruby color. Cherished aromas and flavors often detected in varietal wines include cherry, mint, raspberry, truffles, forest floor. The only grape in the famous French Red Burgundy appellations of the Côtes-de-Baune, Côtes-de-Nuit and Côte d'Or. The grape, which is very difficult to grow and makes into wine, is also grown in Oregon and California's cool valleys, rarely elsewhere.

Food:  Cobb Salad, Spinach Salad, Cream soup, Beef Bourguignonne, Brisket, Pork Tenderloin, Roast Pork, Roast Veal, Duck Breast, Osso Bocco, Spicy Sausage, Grilled Seafood, Salmon, Tuna, Polenta.
