Mastery With the guidance of Paul Frank and Philippe, Lynda and I selected some very expressive blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and we seamlessly blended these wines to create what is now our first vintage - Mastery 2005. Wine Spectator Very ripe, yet not excessive, with black cherry, a whiff of jam, dried currant and spice. Rich and full-bodied, this has a nice tannin grip and plenty of depth to the flavors. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Drink now through 2016. 356 cases made. Score: 92 - James Laube, November 15, 2008.
