Legacy 2005 Legacy is a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Legacy is typically accessible at an early age favoring lusher, sweeter fruit, but with clear definition and backbone. Wine Advocate This 1,500-case blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot comes from two vineyards on Jess Jackson’s Alexander Mountain estate at a relatively high elevation. The wine offers notes of cedar, graphite, black currant, sweet cherry, and smoky oak. It is quite tightly knit, full-bodied, moderately tannic, with good acidity and definition. It should be given several years of bottle age upon release and should evolve for at least 20+ years. Score: 91 - Robert Parker, December 2007.

Graham Weerts, winemaker
It takes a certain type of person to tackle the mountain and in
Winemaker Graham Weerts, Stonestreet found a man talented (and tenacious)
enough to coax world-class wines out of a demanding landscape.
A native of
Cape Town, South Africa, Graham's move to Sonoma County took him to the far
side of the globe. However, the similarities between the two areas' climate,
soil-type and arduous growing conditions made him feel immediately at home.
It
is fortuitous, then, that in terms of winemaking — and in truth, everyday life
— Graham is most in his element when braving the elements. When not hiking the
ridges of Alexander Mountain Estate, Graham can often be found mountain biking,
racing kayaks or generally pushing the boundaries of the routine.
