The Vineyard
Our wines are produced from a twelve-acre vineyard nestled
between two scenic canyons on a craggy slope at the southern end of our 300
acre property.
Selected for it soils our land had no recent history of
vines, but neighbors include Araujo, Frediani, Kenefick and Fisher.
From the start, we never questioned what to plant here.
This is Cabernet Sauvignon country -- some of the best in the
world. Our first vines planted on eight acres, went into the ground in
1999. Six years later we planted the remaining four.
Firmly committed to conscientious land stewardship, we farm
all of our grapes organically, and have chosen to plant only a small percentage
of our land to vines in order to preserve the pristine nature of our setting
with its seasonal creeks, tree-covered hills and abundant wildlife.
