Justin Justification 2007 Paso Robles Magnum, 2007
Justin Justification 2007 Paso Robles Magnum, 2007

Justin

Aromas of currant, black tar, leather and cedar make up the nose our 2007 right bank Bordeaux blend. The entry is bright with red fruit, soft, elegant and extremely approachable. The mid palate has good weight, and exhibits flavors of red currant, blackberry, cedar and caramel. Slightly dusty tannins from the Cabernet Franc blend perfectly with vibrant fruit from the Merlot, to make this wine elegant and seamless from start to finish. The finish is a bit tight, showing the age worthiness of the wine. Drink now to 2025.
Wine Enthusiast
Easily of the best Justin reds in years. An unusual blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, it shows a wonderful texture, courtesy of softly ripe tannins and just-in-time acidity. The flavors are all cherries: pie filling, red currants, and ripely fresh fruit of the tree on a summer day. Delicious and compelling. Score: 92 - Steve Heimoff, March 2010.

Fred Holloway, winemaker
Fred has been a successful winemaker for more than 28 years. He has worked with big, medium and small wineries, Mom and Pop to corporate, from hands on experience to supervising over 800 people. He believes that "truly great wines come from the people you work with." His career began on the Central Coast shortly after receiving his Enology degree from Fresno State University. Until the mid 1990's he worked in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties initially building a small boutique winery and then supervising production at one of the largest wineries in the state. Subsequently, he moved to the North Coast where he collaborated in producing the award winning Artisan Series for the Jess Jackson Family of Wines. There from 1996 -1998, he worked with the brand winemakers of Lokoya, Cardinale, Verite, Stonestreet, Hartford Court, La Crema, Robert Pepi and Edmeades in consistently producing 19 wines rated 90-95 by Robert M. Parker Jr. and 15 wines scoring 90-98 by the Wine Spectator.
