As the result of a lifetime love of fine wines, Pam Starr has been making some of the best wines in the Napa Valley for over 25 years. She honed her techniques while working at Sonoma-Cutrer, Edna Valley, Carmenet, and truly excelled at Spottswoode in the mid-'90s. Her current portfolio also includes cult favorites Gemstone, Adastra, and Garric Cellars.
In 1997 Pam founded a partnership with Charlie Crocker with the goal of crafting a small production of exquisite wines. The three wines are: the Estate Cabernet Sauvignon "Stone Place", the Estate Cabernet Franc, and the Sauvignon Blanc. A total of only 2400 cases of these wines is made each year. Pam comments:"Crocker & Starr is an authentic piece of history linked to the past by the property's 140 years of grape growing, and its 1870's stone buildings, but grounded in the future by our use of the most modern best practices in wine making and our understanding of today's entire grape to bottle philosophy. I look forward to building my reputation for perfection with Crocker and Starr wines in the years to come."
