Our 2008 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir reveals aromas and flavors of cherry, briar, marjoram, brown spice and cola nut. This wine owes its intense fruit flavors to the heavy morning fog, strong coastal winds and warm afternoon sunshine that blanket the Monterey County grapes. This wine is nicely balanced with a touch of fresh earth and a silky texture of fine-grained tannins. Notes of sweet oak and vanilla integrate seamlessly with a lingering finish.
