Belle Glos Wines
2010 has been a very interesting growing season, especially here in the Santa Lucia Highlands in our Las Alturas vineyard. The morning fog, afternoon sun and intense high winds from the north have helped us grow a very concentrated Pinot Noir.
Wine Spectator
2009 VINTAGE - A rich, extracted style that's dense, but also very complex and detailed, with spicy berry flavors that fan out nicely while retaining their focus, gaining depth on the finish. Best from 2012 through 2019. 2,777 cases made. –JL 93 Points.
Prince of Pinot:
2009 VINTAGE - Dark reddish-purple in the glass. Opens slowly in the glass revealing aromas of black stone fruits, herbs, spice and oak. A burly, husky wine with a generous core of dark Pinot fruits accented by notes of anise and vanilla. The texture is silky, the tannins are reserved, and the wine finishes with generous oak-imbued fruit.
