Atalon Winemaker: A deep ruby in the glass, the 2009 Atalon offers pleasing aromas of rich black cherry and plum, wrapped in intriguing oak, spice and cedar notes. A round, voluptuous structure supports a gorgeous depth of flavor centering on sweet black cherry, currant, chocolate and coffee. Juicy and jammy, the spicy oak and chocolate notes interlace beautifully with sweet blackberry and black cherry tones leading to a soft, velvety finish.. Wine Advocate "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon opens with gorgeous, perfumed aromatics. Sweet red berries, flowers, licorice and spices flow effortlessly from this beautifully delineated wine. Bright, floral notes add lift on the finish. This is a terrific wine for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024." 90 Points.

The Story Here at Atalon, the Cabernet Sauvignon vinyards of Napa Valley are both our focus and our passion. We seek Exceptional fruit from dramatically different vinyards sites, capturing the broad, complex personality of Napa Valley Cabernet in every bottle. Winemaker, Brian Kosi. We are dedicated to the true essence and flavor of the Napa Valley. Singularly focused on the production of Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon and merlot from significant mountain and benchland vineyards, Atalon conveys the region’s terroir by blending radically different valley contours to make wines of substance and soul. Vineyards are chosen for proven quality from the districts known to grow the highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, including Oakville, Rutherford, Mount Veeder, Atlas Peak, Los Carneros and Howell Mountain. In 1996 the famed Howell Mountain property was renamed the Keyes Vineyard in honor of the early farmer's pioneering viticultural contributions. Today, the historic ghost winery stands as a strong reminder of a 150-year old tradition of growing wine grapes within the thirty-mile stretch of the Napa Valley frontier.
