Arger-Martucci 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, 2005

Arger-Martucci Vineyards

A This 2005 consists of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot. The bouquet literally jumps from the glass with leathery and plumb overtones. The mouthfeel, or texture, is luscious with nuances of chocolate and cinnamon on the palate. The low yields from our hillside vineyard, which is 1,350 feet above the valley floor, and our clone selection combine to give this wine an intense concentration, unique to great Napa Valley Cabernet.

Wine Enthusiast

Here’s an elegant, full-bodied Cabernet packed with power and grace. It feels lush and classy in the mouth, a dry, softly tannic wine with rich flavors of blackberries, black currants and cedar. Drinks well now and should age well for 6–8 more years.  — S.H.  (12/31/2009)  — 93.

The Story

The The partnership of Arger-Martucci Vineyards is more than a business venture between two owners; it is a love and appreciation of making great wine that is shared by two families. Owned and managed by the Arger’s and Martucci’s, the enterprise is a culmination of varied talents and expertise with one common goal: to produce premium wine.
Arger-Martucci Vineyards Winery, located on Inglewood Avenue off Highway 29 in St. Helena, is one of the few family boutique wineries in the Napa
Valley open to the public. Visitors are welcome from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 7 days a week. A favorite destination and emerging secret, visitors enthusiastically comment, “This is what visiting wineries in Napa used to be like!”
